Check-off is where priority questions become verified. Any leader can do it from a phone or tablet.
Check off a kid
- Open the Check-off tab.
- Tap a group at the top to see just those kids, or stay on Everyone.
- Tap a kid. Their card says how many questions are left to check.
- Ask each question out loud. The yellow highlight ends at the interrupt point, and the answer is shown in green.
- Tap ✓ Got it or ✗ Not yet.
- Tap All kids to go back to the list.
What each button does
- ✓ Got it marks the question verified. It's done for good and won't be assigned again. If your program gives points for check-offs, the kid gets them right away.
- ✗ Not yet keeps the question on the kid's list for next week. It also counts as a miss in their practice, so it comes back for review sooner.
Judging answers
- Answers count "in essence": the same meaning, not the exact words. Words in [brackets] are optional.
- If the kid interrupts, they must finish the question in essence before answering.
- Quotation questions must be word-perfect, with the reference before or after the verse.
Keeping the line moving
- Put two or three leaders on check-off, each with their own phone. Every leader sees the same lists.
- Kids with nothing left show All done.
- Kids can practice their list at home all week. It's at the top of their home screen.
