Car Ride mode

A hands-free quiz for the drive. Your phone reads the questions over the car speakers and checks each answer by itself.

Car Ride turns drive time into practice time. Your phone is the quizmaster: it reads a question, listens to your kid answer out loud, says whether they got it, and moves on. Nobody needs to touch the phone.

Start a ride

  1. Before you drive, connect your phone to the car's Bluetooth and turn the volume up.
  2. On your phone, tap Car Ride above your kids.
  3. Check each kid in the car. Kids take turns, 10 questions each.
  4. Pick the questions: Smart mix (what each kid needs next) or one point value.
  5. Tap Get ready, mount the phone, and tap Start.

The phone keeps its screen on during the ride.

Talking to the quizmaster

Anyone in the car can say:

  • "Repeat" to hear the question again.
  • "Skip" or "I don't know" to hear the answer and move on. A skip counts as a miss for practice.
  • "Pause" to stop for a while. Tap Resume to keep going.
  • "End game" to finish. The quizmaster reads everyone's score.

If the app can't tell what your kid said, it asks once more. If it still can't tell, that question doesn't count, so nobody is marked wrong because of road noise. If nobody answers two questions in a row, the ride pauses by itself.

Does it count?

Yes. Every answer the app checks counts toward your kid's progress, just like practice on their own device.
